I am not a loser,
Nor am I, a winner,
But in this moving crowd,
I am a learner.
I became skilled at walking,
When I fell on the floor.
I learnt to talk better,
After fumbling at several places.
I learnt to speak better when,
People told me I was bitter.
Even if my life became empty,
I filled it with excitement and new things.
I realized what rain was,
When I went through the droughts.
I realized what light was,
After I lived in the darkness.
I now know what success is,
After experiencing the consequences
Of failure and collapse.
I know what it feels in solitude,
After being in the noisy mob.
I have learnt what life is,
After being all alone for years.
I realize what love is,
After receiving so much of hatred.
I realize what happiness is,
‘Cause I’ve been through the grief.
I know what friends are in life,
After meeting my foes.
I know what the warmth of sunlight is,
After living in the cold winters.
I realized what gentleness of flowers was,
After I got hurt by the thorns.
I realized what beauty was,
After I saw that ugly tree.
In my life, I’ve always learnt,
Something from everything,
I’ve seen, I’ve heard
And I’ve experienced.
Because,
I am not a loser,
Nor am I, a winner,
But in this moving crowd,
I am a learner.
